My name is Rob Ruiz. I have been learning about and growing common and rare peppers since 2014. Every year I grow many varieties from seed. In 2018, I started putting my extra plants on Facebook Marketplace. I was amazed by the amount of interest these posts generated and I have been selling seedlings every spring ever since.
In 2020, things got so crazy and there was so much interest, I decided I needed a better way to serve the people bought plants from me. So, I decided to use my career in web development to help serve this effort. Using this online method of selling through my website give me a lot of advantages.
- I can take pre-orders to give me a better idea of how much of each kind of pepper to grow.
- I can sell other stuff like my hot sauces, seeds, pepper pods, etc.
- I can track my inventory.
- I can keep a running list with more data of all of my repeat customers to better serve them.
- Post helpful information about how to care for and optimize your plants once you have them.
- Gardening tips, sauce making tips, how to work with super hot peppers, etc.
2021-2022 will be the first year of this site being in production, so I am hoping this helps me push my pepper business to the next level. I appreciate your support and please feel free to message me with any kinds of feedback, questions, concerns etc.
