This delicious Oaxacan Chili is more flavor than heat. It’s thick smooth flesh makes it ideal for drying. The plant produces many pods that start off the typical dark green color and slowly ripen to a chocolate brown color. The flavors of this pepper are deep, smokey, and dark. Ideal for doing things like blackened chicken or making a thick rich mole sauce. Don’t get caught off guard though, the heat on these is comparable to a cayenne.
